TAPPAHANNOCK, Va. -- Eastern Virginia Bankshares (NASDAQ:EVBS) today reported 2007 first quarter net income and earnings per share and announced a dividend declaration.
The Company reported a 35.9% increase in net income for the first quarter of 2007 to $2.1 million or $0.35 per diluted share compared to $1.6 million, or $0.32 per diluted share for the comparable quarter in 2006.
