Dover Reports Second Quarter Earnings.
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1999--
Dover Corporation (NYSE:DOV) earned $.44 per diluted share from continuing operations in the Quarter ended June 30, up 16% from $.38 cents in the prior year. Discontinued operations (Elevator Segment) increased last year's total second quarter earnings per share to $.45. Sales of almost $1.1 billion in the second quarter were up 7%, segment earnings were up 6%, and net earnings improved 10%.
