MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1998-- DOMTAR INC.(ME:DTC.) (TSE:DTC.) (NYSE:DTC) Domtar Inc. today announced net earnings of $17 million, or $0.11 per common share, for the first quarter ended March 31, 1998, compared to a net loss of $12 million, or $0.09 per common share, in the corresponding period of 1997.
