FAIRPORT, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 2000 Detection Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:DETC) today reported results for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2000. Net sales for fiscal 2000 were a record $141.9 million, as compared to $138.0 million for fiscal 1999. Net income for fiscal 2000, after one-time charges of $1.9 million, was $3.5 million, or $0.51 per diluted share, as compared to $4.5 million, or $0.65 per diluted share, for fiscal 1999.
