TOKYO & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 2001 Crosswave Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CWCI) ("Crosswave"), a pioneer in broadband data communications in Japan, today announced financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2000. 3Q00 Results Summary -- Revenue for the quarter amounted to JPY 802 million (US$ 7.0 million) (1), an increase of 51.7% from 2Q00. This was a result of strong customer-base expansion in Crosswave's Wide-area Ethernet Platform Service and an increase in its number of contracted ports. -- Net loss for the quarter resulted in JPY 2,367 million (US$ 20.7 million) (1), compared to JPY 2,071 million in 3Q99 and JPY 2,980 million in 2Q00. -- Adjusted EBITDA(2) for the quarter was JPY (-)2,089 million (US$ (-)18.3 million) (1), compared to adjusted EBITDA of JPY (-)1,791 million in 3Q99 and JPY (-)2,276 million in 2Q00. -- Four new data cent...See the full content of this document
