Corixa Corporation (Nasdaq:CRXA), a research- and development-based biotechnology company, Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation (NYSE:MRX) and Genesis Research and Development of New Zealand today announced preliminary U.S. Phase II clinical trial results on Corixa's immunotherapeutic psoriasis treatment, PVAC(TM). Analysis of the results of a four-arm, randomized, double-blinded, controlled study in the United States, suggests that PVAC therapy at a dose of 15 micrograms per injection provides appreciable clinical benefit in patients with moderate to severe psoriasis.
