BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BW HealthWire)--Oct. 23, 2000 Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE: CYH), today announced financial and operating results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2000. Net operating revenues for the third quarter ended September 30, 2000, totaled $342.4 million, a 28.3% increase compared with $266.9 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 1999.
