LOS ANGELES -- City National Corporation (NYSE: CYN), the parent company of wholly owned City National Bank, today reported third-quarter 2006 net income of $59.0 million, or $1.20 per share, compared with $59.8 million, or $1.17 per share, for the third quarter of 2005. Third-quarter earnings per share were 3 percent higher than they were during the same period last year. Year to date, City National has earned $175.0 million, or $3.47 per share, on revenue of $633.4 million.
