FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2003

Asyst Technologies, Inc., (Nasdaq NM: ASYT), a leading provider of integrated automation solutions that enhance semiconductor and flat panel display manufacturing productivity, today announced consolidated financial results for its second fiscal quarter ended Sept. 27, 2003. Results were generally in line with company guidance.

For the quarter, Asyst reported net sales of $51.3 million, up 13% from $45.3 million reported in the prior quarter. Net loss for the fiscal second quarter improved to $16.3 million, or $0.41 per share, compared with a net loss of $37.4 million or $0.97 per share in the fiscal first quarter.
