ArthroCare Reports 40 Percent Year-over-Year Revenue Growth for the First Quarter; Earnings Per Share Increases More Than 70 Percent Year-over-Year.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- ArthroCare(R) Corp. (Nasdaq:ARTC), a multi-business medical device company that develops minimally invasive surgical products, announced today financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2005. First quarter product revenues were $47.8 million, a 39 percent increase over the $34.3 million recorded in the same quarter of the previous year. Total revenues, which include product revenues, license fees and royalties, for the first quarter were $49.7 million, a 40 percent increase over the $35.6 million reported in the first quarter of 2004.
