AMVESCAP Reports Results for Three Months Ended March 31, 2007.
LONDON -- AMVESCAP (NYSE:AVZ) reported that operating profit increased by 27.1% for the three months ended March 31, 2007 to $237.2 million (three months ended March 31, 2006: $186.6 million). Diluted earnings per share was $0.19 for the three months ended March 31, 2007 (three months ended March 31, 2006: $0.13). Operating profit decreased 5.2% from the three months ended December 31, 2006; the three months ended December 31, 2006 included the benefit of $21.8 million of insurance recoveries.
