Alaska Communications Systems Reports Operating Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2000.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2001 Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") (Nasdaq:ALSK) reported today results of operations for 2000 which were in line with guidance provided during the company's third quarter conference call. Revenues for 2000 were $313.0 million compared to combined revenues of $299.9 million for 1999, a growth of 4.4%. After adjusting for certain unusual and non-recurring charges, consolidated EBITDA, or Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization, increased 8% to $116.9 million for 2000 compared to $108.1 million on a similarly stated basis for 1999.
